2024 Tom Salem Memorial Scholarship Application
The 2025-2026 scholarship application window will open in spring 2025.
Scholarship eligibility guidelines include that the applicant must reside in the area served by the Memphis Chapter (roughly a 125-mile radius around the city of Memphis), should be pursuing post-secondary education towards a degree in meteorology and/or atmospheric sciences in the upcoming school year, and will be taking multiple classes towards that degree during that academic year.

Congratulations to our 2024 recipient, Christian Bryson!
It is with great pleasure that we announce the Tom Salem Memorial Scholarship award recipient for 2024 is Christian Bryson. Christian is from Jackson, TN and is entering his sophomore year in the Meteorology program at University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). He plans to one day become a broadcast meteorologist, as well as work to ensure that more storm shelters are installed in areas with vulnerable housing.
Christian was UTM's Outstanding Freshman in Meteorology and is the Vice-President of the UTM student AMS chapter and chief forecaster for the UTM campus radio station. Congratulations on your multiple achievements, Christian! |
