2021 Scholarship Application
Scholarship eligibility guidelines include that the applicant must reside in the area served by the Memphis Chapter (roughly a 125-mile radius around the city of Memphis), should be pursuing post-secondary education towards a degree in meteorology and/or atmospheric sciences in the upcoming school year, and will be taking multiple classes towards that degree during that academic year. The scholarship application deadline for this year's $500 award is TBA.

2017 AMS/NWA-Memphis Scholarship Recipient
The Memphis Chapter of the AMS/NWA is pleased to have awarded our 2017 scholarship to Mr. Andy Lenz, who will attend begin his college career this fall at Penn State University, pursuing a B.S. in Meteorology. Andy attended Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis and graduated with a superior academic record, including being a Commended Scholar in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. He is also a well-rounded student according to his references and extracurricular activities. Nick has already begun pursuing his interest in Meteorology by volunteering at the NWS office in Memphis, as well as participating in the Penn State Advanced Weather Camp the past two years.
