The Memphis Chapter of the American Meteorological Society/National Weather Association serves meteorologists and atmospheric scientists, as well as weather enthusiasts, from across Memphis and the Mid-South. Our membership is comprised of employees of the National Weather Service, FedEx, the military, public school teachers, and local media, as well as storm spotters, ham radio operators, and "backyard weathermen and women." After initially being formed as an autonomous chapter of the AMS in 1970, we have a long and proud history and a bright future! We hope you will find the information in this site informative and that you will join us for one of our upcoming meetings!
